Anders (Andy) Kimmel paints in oil. Inspired by the natural world, he prefers to let his paintings stand without commentary. He lives in Norwalk, CT.
2025: Kimmel’s work is on line at Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, CAFA + Members.
2025: Kimmel’s paintings appeared both on-line and in the actual galleries at the Ridgefield Guild’s Juried Shows; Hill-Stead Museum’s 2nd Annual Members Juried Exhibition; Rowayton Arts Center Juried Shows; Stamford Art Association Juried Shows (in one show, at The Ferguson Library, Looking Up was chosen First with a monetary award); and Great Hollow’s 2025 Juried Show, where all four submitted paintings were accepted.
In June, Rowayton Arts Center informed him that his work qualifies him for full Exhibiting Member status.
In 2025, Kimmel’s oil paintings focused on blues and a range of red trees, branches, meadows and snow. He continues to concentrate on CT. juried shows.
NB: Effective September 1, 2023, Andy Kimmel will cover the first $100.00 of packing and shipping costs for sale of paintings that are not picked up by the buyer when a show closes, and/or must be commercially shipped rather than delivered by car. Costs exceeding $100.00 will be the responsibility of the buyer.
